The
above aerial photo of the Radio Telescope Dish in Arecibo, Puerto
Rico was taken by A.E. Amador and the postcard can be purchased
in many locations.
You
can notice that it is in the karst region of Puerto Rico, a unique
limestone formation of little hills, caves, rivers.
There
is a visitor center here that has set hours. Remember this is
a radio telescope. It receives radio waves from the dish that
are fed into a large bank of computers...... other than the computers
and the radio dish there is nothing to see here ( no stars!)
