• PRIVATE SAILING CHARTER: The beautiful era of sailing with the local fishermen seems to be over. No one has a sailboat anymore.. It is all motorboats now and so I guess there is no sailing trip available from Las Croabas anymore. There is a sail boat that operates out of Puerta del Rey called 'Ventajero'. Tel.787-645-9129. Price is approximately $575 for the day ( max 6 persons).
• MOTORBOAT SNORKELING TO THE OUTER KEYS: We head out from Las Croabas by motorboat to the nearest key "Icacos Island ". We try out our equipment on a shallow reef. You can learn to snorkel, it is not hard! If you don't care to snorkel this excursion is still a great day trip to the most beautiful island with white sand and a turquoise sea. Great little island for walking too! This gorgeous beach inspires relaxation but we have several places to visit where we can snorkel off the boat. Picnic ashore. Beach walk around the island to see the blow hole!
• Icacos and Lobos Keys. 4 hours for $425 for 4 people ( $350 for two) for a gorgeous snorkeling experience. See the nearby little sandy islands of the "Cordillera Reserve'. There is shade on the boat and on the beach. This is a private charter for your party only. Best to leave around 10 AM, but other times can be arranged. Gear rental is $12 per set at the local scuba shop.
• Cayo de Las Aves. The snorkeling and motorboat trip to Cayo Diablo is for experienced snorkelers only and the price is $125 additional. Includes sandwiches.

ABOUT SNORKELING:
Imagine, for a moment, that you were invited to see the garden of a Prince. You would, without being told, not dream of walking on the plants, nor picking a flower. PLEASE act that way with the coral gardens! They are even more fragile and progressively more rare than the finest princes' rare garden flowers!. Do not touch, nor stand on any coral or any kind, PLEASE
and if you really wanted to be kind to the corals wear a long sleeved white or light blue shirt to keep from getting sunburned when you snorkel INSTEAD or slathering yourself with greasy sunblock which, of course, ruins the corals.
