From the ferry dock in Culebra or from outside the airport you can easily catch public transportation to Flamenco Beach. $2. each way. You would be wise to take your drinking water (and perhaps a sandwich) with you. You can eat in town ... or sometimes the Restaurant/Bar, at the hotel at the far end of the beach, is open. Little Kiosks that sell cheap food have opened in Flamenco Beach but probably not in the winter mid-week. Culebra has more tourists than Vieques Island and is more expensive. The 'Water Taxi' ride out to Culebrita Island and/or to Luis Pena Island is well worth the trip. The Campgrounds on Flamenco beach is one of the better places to camp in the world, you may need a permit in advance, you may not. ..see the camping pages for info. Kayaking is great fun in Culebra. Kayaking in Puerto Rico offers a day time snorkeling trip. Culebra is a nice place to bicycle. Culebra Bike and Beach Rentals 787-742-2209 is located right in town. Information
