TORO NEGRO WATERFALL IN JAYUYA
PUERTO RICO'S CORDILLERA CENTRAL
![]() |
Salto Dona Juana ( the 'leap' of Dona Juana)
"Salto Dona Juana' (Dona Juana's Leap). Waterfall off the side of the road down to Jayuya from the 'Toro Negro Forest Reserve'. Toro Negro is the highest Forest Reserve in Puerto Rico and has the two highest fresh water lakes which are well stocked for fly-fishing (bass). The campground , if minimal, is very nice, quite chilly in the clouds! (Need prior reservations). Nearby in the municipality of Jayuya is the Parador Hacienda Gripinas, a restored coffee plantation. Excellent restaurant. See the hotel reviews page. |
More about the Jayuya area. Jayuya is coffee country. |
